the ocean?

So Ryan and I took a drive last Sunday, thinking we were driving to the ocean. We took a stroll and concluded that the Atlantic is less 'wavy' than the Pacific. Than a friendly lady started talking to us and we asked her where we were (we just drive, knowing our GPS will get us home) and she said we were at some kind of bay. We laughed at ourselves and were told that the ocean is down about 20 miles where there are waves to surf on.... We'll check that out this weekend. It sure is fun exploring, esp. when we have no clue where we are.
