Good night Kiss

Ty has been into doing things himself. Most things we ask him to do he replies, “do it!” Today for nap time he was finishing up in the bathroom (yes, he is potty training!) and he runs in his room and slams the door. I follow behind and quickly he says, “do it!” -in reference to wanting to put himself to bed. A minute or so later I hear him whining a little. I go back in his room to find him standing up, holding out his blankies and he kisses the air, asking for a good night kiss from me. I snuggled him up and gave him a kiss. That is all he needed. Even if he has to “do it”, he still needs his mom’s touch of snuggling him up and my goodnight kiss. I love this stage!
